Art Crime in New England with Tim Carpenter, Art Crime Program Manager, and Geoff Kelly, Special Agent New England Region, Federal Bureau of Investigations Art Crime Unit 

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) operates a special crime unit of 20 special agents focused on art crimes, such as theft, forgery, and trafficking of art and cultural artifacts. These crimes vary from individual cases to sprawling organized crime networks. Tim Carpenter, the Art Crime Program Manager, will introduce the wide spectrum of the department’s methods in recovering stolen and forged art. Geoff Kelly, Special Agent New England Region, the agent assigned to the infamous Isabella Stewart Gardner heist will provide insight into this case and others local to New England.
